Anyone who is even slightly familiar with the history of The Church of God has heard of the Solemn Assembly, but have you heard about the events which preceded this glorious time of deliverance? What caused the Solemn Assembly? Why was it necessary?
This series looks back into the events and experiences from 1966 through May of 1993 which necessitated the Solemn Assembly of July 1993. It is a reminder that even during the difficult and trying times, God’s hand was upon His Church, and He would deliver them!
Now, we have an entire generation of young people who were not even born at the time of the Solemn Assembly. How will they know what happened? How will they know what the Church experienced? And more importantly, how will they know how God delivered His people?
Something must be done to preserve this important history for the next generation. This is Remembering the Solemn Assembly!
